Poem: Blind Love

9:45 p.m. @ 2005-10-29

I have no earthly idea why I wrote this. Really I don't. I think I wrote it for my parents 20th anniversary that's coming up. For the record, I stll have no knowledge to why I wrote this. - Kelly

I know your touch.
Your scent.
Your taste.
Yet I didn't know you.

Nights I of being lost
in your being.
Our souls would soar in ecstasy
united together as our sheets
Would twist around our naked forms
like snakes taking our very life.

We could have scaled Mount Olympus,
flying over the peak,
falling straight back down to Earth
in a flurry of a dream.
I could sworn you were a god.
The God of Love.

Yet I never saw you.
I never knew your face.
All I know is you.
My God of Love.
My husband, with whom
love is blinding.
